Thoma Electric has been proudly involved The JB Dewar Company for more than 30 years, servicing many locations throughout San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. Our firm has also provided the electrical service infrastructure at other of the JB Dewar's Company customer sites such as City of San Luis Obispo, Texiera Farms, rental car facilities and other agricultural clients. This project includes design and construction of a vehicle fuel dispensing facility. It includes three islands with dispensers for all fuels. This facility is a very high use sales station located on a very busy State Highway near Paso Robles, California, servicing tourists, winery owners, long and short haul trucking services, agriculture and personal vehicle traffic.
Changing regulations and changing technology in the realm of applications of computer systems for dispensing, tank leak detection, product line leak detection, vapor recovery, has required constant training and education about these systems. Our staff has remained committed to the need to remain current with these technologies and to be of maximum service to our client of 30 years. We are very proud of our relationship with JB Dewar Company.
Special Feature or Interesting Aspects of Project:
- The Paso Robles facility is a state-of-the-art card lock fuel facility which is an unattended facility with integrated safety and spill control features.
- All underground bulk storage tanks and product lines are equipped with leak detection. The facility is provided with automatic equipment shut down and notification systems for safety of patrons as well as protection to the environment.
- All electrical systems in and around the islands, tanks and dispensers, are installed to a hazardous location standard Class 1 Divisions 1 and 2, per California Electrical Code.
